Deborah Ann Holder Westbury

Deborah Ann Holder Westbury, 66 of Eutawville, South Carolina peacefully completed her journey on Thursday, July 14, 2022 surrounded by her family and dog.

She was born on October 14, 1955 in Fayetteville, TN to Ruby Keith Holder and the late Holbert Holder. In 1973, she graduated from Flintville High School and in 1974 she graduated from beauty school where she worked alongside her Aunt Sallie.

In March 1979, she married her lifelong companion, Randy Westbury of 43 years. Shortly after their wedding, they moved to South Carolina where she started working at Holcim as an HR manager and retired after 30 years. She was known to most as Debbie or Punkin.  Debbie loved cross stitching, collecting M&M memorabilia, animals, watching westerns, but most of all loved being a Gram. 

She is survived by her spouse, Randy of Eutawville, daughters, Amy (Clay) McWhorter of Moncks Corner, Cindy (Chad) Newsome of Eutawville, mother, Ruby Holder of TN, grandchildren, Trenton (Munchkin) Carson, Madelyn (Miss Priss) McWhorter, and Waylon (Doddle Bug) Newsome, a special sister-like cousin, Carolyn Bryant of TN, and her four-legged companion, Mutt. 

Gram, when I think about you being gone, my heart is saddened and I don’t know how I will go on. You always have time to listen to my complaints, I’ve said so many times that woman’s a saint. You taught me more about life than anyone at all, and were always available anytime I would call. I shed a tear because my Gram is gone. Now somehow I’ll find the strength to go on. Love always, Munchkin.

When hope was lost, you lifted me up, I could never thank you enough. When you left, it made a scar, but you’ll never truly be gone. I love you always, miss you much. Love you Gram. - Miss Priss.

My most cherished memory is sharing popsicles with you. Love you always, Doodle Bug.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 17th between 6:00PM-8:00PM at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274 Eutaw Road Holly Hill, SC 29059.  There will be a private burial at Eutawville Cemetery at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
