David Thompson

David (Crazy Dave) Thompson, 60 of Vance, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023.

Born on October 18, 1962 in Holly Hill, South Carolina Dave is a Son of Jimmy Thompson and the late Sylvia Martin Strickland.

Dave worked for All In One Construction and was a excellent painter. He loved making people laugh. Dave loved his family and friends, but especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed his time painting with his granddaughter, Maggie.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother; sister, Joann Thompson; and a brother, Ricky Bennett.

Dave is survived by his daughter, Chantell Thompson (Pete Rivera); a son, DayDay Thompson; a sister, Shelia Thompson; brothers, Robin Thompson, Jason Thompson, Lonnie Bennett, Greg Bennett, and Keith Bennett; grandchildren , Pedro, Louis, Carlos, Sylvia, and Julia Rivera, Andrea Caughman, Destiny Rivera, and Mary Moon; and other family members.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 1-2PM at Avinger Funeral Home and Cremation. A graveside service will follow at 2:30PM at Rivera Cemetery, 211 Azeeban Rd., Vance.
