Vance- David Nathan "Boudreaux" Witherell, 67, went to the big fishing hole in the sky on March 18,2020. The family will receive family and friends at Avinger Funeral Home on Thursday, March 26th, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Boudreaux was born on February 10, 1953 in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was a Charter Boat Fishing Guide with Santee Cajun Guide Service on Santee Cooper Lakes for 15 years. Prior to that, he worked in the baking industry for 25 plus years. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his wife of 49 years, and his grandchildren. He loved fishing. He especially loved taking children fishing and watching their joy at catching the "big one".
He is survived by his wife, Barbara June (Mouse) Witherell of Vance; two daughters, Heather Witherell Ray and her husband Robert of Elm City, NC and Thelice Roxanne Witherell and her partner Richard Spangler of Manning, SC; a son, David Scott Witherell, Sr. and his wife Jennifer of Vance, SC; nine grandchildren, one sister and two brothers.
