Daphne Johnson Podgers

HOLLY HILL- Daphne Boykin Johnson Podgers, 66, of Holly Hill, died Tuesday in a North Charleston hospital. The family will have a private burial. Daphne was born in Walterboro, the daughter of the late Irvin Boykin and Gerry Priester Boykin Blackman. She was a former driver at Charleston Auto Auction, and was a life member of the VFW. Daphne was preceded in death by a daughter, Precious Johnson. Surviving are her husband, David Podgers of Holly Hill; a son Brian Johnson of Ft. Lauderdale; sister-in-law, Betty Boykin of Eutawville; and 7 grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
