EUTAWVILLE - Newman Dale Clemons, 68, of Eutawville, husband of Gladys M. Clemons, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. No formal services are planned. His cremated remains are going to be placed in a coral reef and placed off of Key West. Dale, as he was known, was one of the first triplets born in Beckley, WV, and spent 31 years in South Carolina. He spent many of those years as a sub-contractor installing tile in Charleston and surrounding areas. In addition to his wife, Gladys, he is survived by a daughter, Tammy (Charlie) von Lehe of Walterboro; a son Newman D. Clemons, Jr. of Miami, FL; sisters, Pam (Johnny) McEwen and Nell Clemons, all of Arcadia, FL, and Mary Lou (Charley) McClelland of Albemarle, NC; brothers, Doug Clemons of Albemarle, NC, Bob (June) Clemons of Arcadia, FL, and James Clemons of Ft. Myers, FL; and a grandson, Blade Clemons of Miami, FL. Memorial donations may be sent to Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd., N. Charleston, SC 29406.
