Chuck Arena

CROSS - Charles Michael "Chuck" Arena, 73, of Cross, husband of Dolores R. Arena, died Thursday, January 9, 2014 at his home. A funeral will be 6 p.m. Sunday at Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill, with Rev. Earl Behr officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia. Chuck was born in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Salvatore Arena and Phyllis M. Arena. He was retired from the Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Holly Hill. Chuck was a former member of the Holly Hill, Cross, and Wurtsboro (NY) Fire Departments. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Michelle (Jason) Metrick of Ivyland, PA; sons, Mark (Gabriella) Arena of Hicksville, NY, and Charles Arena, Jr. of Cross; grandchildren, Cole and Liliana Metrick, and Tre and Tate Arena.
