Christine Mims

Christine "Chris" Fraser Mims, 88 of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

Born on July 8, 1935 in Walterboro she was a daughter of the late Effie Evans Fraser and Richard Fraser.

Christine was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Her most favorite hobby was ceramics, in which she decorated her home. She was also known for having the most beautiful flowers in her yard, garden and home. In her later years, Christine enjoyed sitting in her sunroom and on the front porch watching the birds.

Christine is preceded in death by her loving husband A.R. Mims, parents Richard and Effie Fraser, twin brothers Richard and Jack Fraser, and half-sister Frances Bazzle.

Christine is survived by a son, Dr. Alexander "Al" C. Logan III (Sandy); daughters Phyllis Logan Haynie, and Cathy Mims Holland; grandchildren, Tara Haynie Bradley (Jeremy), Veronica Smith Ard (Neil), and Anthony Philip Smith (Daisy); great grandchildren Bryce and Braxton Bradley, and Liam Ard.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 413 Geddes Road, Charleston, South Carolina 29407 on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation with family and friends will follow the service.
