Christian Jeffery Winter, 21 of Gaston, South Carolina, a beloved son, brother, family member, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by love Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Born January 16, 2004 Christian was the son of Kimberly Pratt Osborne and David Winter.
Christian lived a life full of excitement doing his favorite things with his family like going to music festivals, NASCAR races, and ball games. He had a passion for grandfather clocks, elephants, and such a love for Christmas trees that he even had a tree farm started for him.
Christian was deeply cherished for his fierce yet gentle spirit, his strength, and the light he brought into the lives of those who knew him. He faced life with courage and heart, touching many through his presence, resilience, and the love he gave so freely. To know Christian was to be changed by him. His love, humor, and quiet bravery will forever be remembered.
Christian is survived by his loving mother and dad, Kimberly and Brad Osborne; his sister, Alicia Winter and brother-in-law Kori Pettus; father, David Winter; grandparents, Jeff and Lola Pratt and Margie and Tony Pecorara and the rest of his extended family.
Christian was preceded in death by loved ones who now welcome him home with open arms.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 11AM-1PM at Avinger Funeral Home. A service will follow at 1PM. Burial will be private.
The family asks that you honor Christian’s memory by showing kindness to others, offering compassion where it is needed most, and holding your loved ones close. Christian’s life, though far too short, was full of meaning, love, and impact. His family, friends, and all whose lives were made brighter by knowing him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
