Chester Lee Hilton Jr.

Chester Lee Hilton Jr., 72 of Cross, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

Born on June 1, 1952, in Charleston, Chester was a son of the late Dorothy Brown Hilton and Chester Hilton Sr.

Chester was an extremely good carpenter and a jack of all trades. He owned his own business for over 30 years. Chester enjoyed fishing and never missed a Sunday Nascar race. #5 Kyle Larson was his man. In his younger years he enjoyed playing golf. Chester loved visits from his children and grandchildren as well as his many friends. He never missed a chance to crack a joke.

Chester is preceded in death by his parents; brothers John Beckett, Jesse Beckett, and Lawton Beckett; sisters Doris Bishop, Lucille Meree, and Annie Lee Cox.

Chester is survived by sons Steven Hilton (Sonya), Brian Hilton (Hattie), Jason Gosse (Jennifer), Chester Hilton III (Ashley), Matt McDonald, and Robert (Dinky) Buck; daughter Kaylin Davis (Hunter); grandchildren Serena (Tyler), Stevie, Chet, Ethan, Brian, Tabitha, Laynee (Nathan), Gracie, Beckham, and Weston; sisters Lorraine Cluley, Mille Steen, Shirley Hilton, Gloria Harmon (Wade), Carolyn Hilton, Debbie Rowland (Philip), and Marie Hilton; brothers Walter Hilton (Kari), Larry Hilton (Connie), and Allen Still (Kristy); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 5-8PM at Avinger Funeral Home.

The service will be held Wednesday May 14, 2025, 11AM at Avinger Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Eutawville Cemetery in Eutawville.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are William Meree, Dale Meree, Brian Meree, TL Harman, Adam Hilton, TJ Broad, and Wes Hughes.
