Charles A. Braswell

ELLOREE - Charles Archie Braswell, 81, of Elloree, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Jerusalem United Methodist Church with Rev. Terry Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m. Charles was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Archie G. Braswell and Simmie Heatley Braswell. A graduate of Elloree High School, he was a retired Master Sergeant from the US Air Force, and then worked at the former Ramada Inn in Santee. He was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church, and enjoyed gardening. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen B. Rast; and a nephew, Malcolm R. Rast, Jr. Surviving are nieces, Carol Rast Felder (Reed) of Holly Hill, and Charleen Rast of Elloree; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
