Billy J. "BJ" Williams
Billy John " BJ " Williams, 97, of Vance, South Carolina, husband to Doris Yarborough Williams for 73 years, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 29, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Born on May 29, 1924 in Charlotte, North Carolina, BJ retired from DuPont after 40 years and he served his country honorably in the United States Army in the Philippines during World War II. BJ enjoyed spending time in the outdoors where he could go hunting and fishing. He enjoyed working in the yard and spending time tinkering in his shop.
BJ is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Joe and David. Those who will most cherish his memory are his wife, Doris of Vance; his son, Darryl Williams of Spring Branch, Texas; his daughter, Anna Williams of Vance; his grandson, John Williams; his sister, Sandy Myers and her husband, Donald of Fort Mill, South Carolina. BJ is also survived by numerous members of his extended family.
Services will be held privately among the family.
