Betty J. Oglesby

HOLLY HILL - Mrs. Betty Jackson Oglesby, 79, of Holly Hill, wife of Isaac W. Oglesby, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in a North Charleston hospital. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 12th at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Locke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Oglesby, Allen Wiggins, Steve Jackson,. Wade Jackson, Michael Jackson, and Charles Jackson. Betty was born in Holly Hill, a daughter of the late Leroy Jackson and Eliza Brown Jackson. She was retired from Carolina Girls Wear in St. George, and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. Surviving in addition to her husband, Isaac of 60 years, are daughters, Lynn Wiggins (Terry), and Susie Coker (Alvin), all of Holly Hill, and Belinda Revell (Clarence "Bubba") of Santee; a son, David Oglesby (Suzy) of Holly Hill; grandchildren, Allen Wiggins (Mary), Brandon Oglesby, Alston Oglesby, Jason Revell, and Amy Coker; and great-grandchildren, David Allen Wiggins and Alyssa Wiggins. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 10th at Avinger Funeral Home, and other times at the Oglesby home.
