Barry P. Yon

CHARLESTON - Barry Pinckney Yon, 64, of Charleston, died Thursday, July 31, 2014 in a Charleston hospital. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Pinecrest Baptist Church with Rev. Al Smith officiating. Burial will be private in Riverview Memorial Park. Barry was born in Charleston, a son of the late Joel Cecil Yon and Claudia Pinckney Yon. He was formerly employed at Yon Brothers Garage and Parks Auto Parts. Surviving are a brother, Joel D. Yon, Sr. (Patricia) of Eutawville; a nephew, Joel D. Yon, Jr. (Deborah) of Eutawville; an aunt, Anne P. Faucette of Charleston; and cousins, Pam Hires, Randy Faucette, and Steve Faucette, all of Charleston. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church, Shut-in Ministry, 1285 Ashley Hall Rd., Charleston, SC 29407.
