Miss Barbara Hope "Bobbie" Pendarvis, 91, daughter of the late Madge Doyle and Wilbur T. Pendarvis Sr, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones in St. Petersburg, Florida on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 1st, 2019 at Holly Hill Cemetery with Reverend Buddy Locke officiating.
Bobbie graduated from Holly Hill High School before attending Columbia College and USC in pursuit of her goal to be an educator. Bobbie was an extraordinary teacher and librarian for more than 50 years. She is remembered by hundreds of her students, many of which became and remained her close friends for decades. Upon her retirement, her final classes had a star named for her, a symbol of her unending influence on their lives.
Survivors include her nephew, Wilbur T. "Tripp" Pendarvis III, as well as many loving family members and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved bother, Wilbur T. "Red" Pendarvis Jr.
Bobbie's life was truly blessed and she was a joy to all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all the lives she touched.
