April L. Bair-Martin VANCE - April Loraine Bair-Martin, 48, of Vance, wife of Terry Lee Martin, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill with Rev. Paul Hirth and Rev. Jeff Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the Hungerpiller Cemetery near Elloree. April was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of Thomas L. "Faitsie" Bair and Sue Hill Bair. She was graduate of Clarendon Hall Academy, and Baptist College (now Charleston Southern University). April received her Master's Degree from S.C. State University and was a retired school teacher from Holly Hill School District 3. April enjoyed cooking and loved her family. Surviving are her husband of Vance; her parents of Elloree; a sister, Hope (Wally) Haigler of Cameron; a brother, Rusty (Emily) Bair of Santee; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Clarendon Hall Academy, PO Box 609, Summerton, SC 29148-0609, a church or charity of choice.
