MT. PLEASANT - Mrs. Charlotte Ann Garrett Moore, 82, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Holly Hill, widow of Lloyd S. Moore, Jr., died Sunday, November 10, 2013 in a Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Avinger Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Hill with Rev. Cooper Stonestreet officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery. Ann was born in Covington, VA, a daughter of the late E. M. Garrett and Mary Bridget Garrett. She was a member of the Holly Hill United Methodist Church, Shagger's Hall of Fame and the Living Legends. Ann taught shag lessons and shagged in an exhibition during the 1996 Summer Olympics. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Moore and a brother, E. M. Garrett, Jr. Surviving are a daughter, Lynne (Sam) Chance of Holly Hill; daughter-in-law, Velma B. Moore of Cope; a sister, Mildred Santos of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Madison, and Matthew Moore, all of Cope, and Jamison Bowers of Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. this Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Sam and Lynne Chance.
