Andrew Willeford Burk Jr.

Andrew (Andy) Willeford Burk, Jr, 93 of Holly Hill, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.    Born on October 13, 1930 in Charleston, Andy was a son of the late Mildred Mitchum Burk and Andrew W. Burk, Sr.  Andy is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Marie James Burk; his parents; and a sister, Patricia Pace.  He retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of Service, was a member of the Vance Lodge #230, and an honorary member of Solomon’s #1 AFM.  He enjoyed researching his family’s genealogy, gardening and spending time with his family.  Andy was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and served as a deacon.

Andy is survived by daughters, Cathlene Stephens and Lu Anne Harvison (Jon); son James Burk (Michelle); grandsons, Andrew and Jordan Stephens; a granddaughter, Laura Burk; brother, Michael Burk (Marilyn) and their daughter, Michelle; nephews, William, Mark, and Joey Pace; sister-in-law, Joyce Crosby (Everett), and nephews, Mark, David, Matthew, and Daniel Crosby.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 6-8PM at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274 Eutaw Rd.

The service will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 11AM at Corinth Baptist Church, Camden Road.  Burial will follow at Target United Methodist Church Cemetery, Target Rd. with Military Honors and Masonic Rites.
