Alvie D. Nesbitt

EUTAWVILLE - Alvie Doyal Nesbitt, 65, of Eutawville, husband of Elaine Weatherford Nesbitt, died Thursday, January 23. 2014 in a Charleston hospital. A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Monday at Avinger Funeral Home with Rev. Buck Reeves officiating. Born in Arkansas, Alvie was a son of the late Johnny Eugene Nesbitt and Mildred Key Nesbitt, and retired as supervisor of Indian Bluff Recreation Park. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Nesbitt. Surviving are his wife of Eutawville; daughters, Lesley Martinez (Joaquin) of Vance, and Amber Molina (Fredy) of Eutawville; sons, Danny Nesbitt (Nikki) of Vance, and Johnny Nesbitt of Miss.; sisters, Carol Yates (Carlos) of Ark., Joyce Smith (Robert) of Ark.; brothers, James Nesbitt (Judy), Floyd Nesbitt (Olivia), and Lindel Nesbitt, all of Tex., and Arbie Nesbitt of Miss.; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
