EUTAWVILLE - Albert Fenton "Big Al" Wilkerson III, 79, of Eutawville, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at his home in Eutawville after a long battle with Alzheimer's. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 714 Riverdale Dr., Charleston, with Pastor Joseph Wilkerson, Big Al's cousin officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Big Al was born in Charleston, son of the late Albert F. Wilkerson, Jr. and Alice S. Wilkerson. He was self-employed in various retail businesses. Big Al loved to shag. He was a member of The Islanders Shag Club, The Charleston Shag Club and The Orangeburg Area Shag Club. Surviving are his wife, Mickey M. Wilkerson; children, Rebecca W. (Ricky) Johnson of Ladson, and Albert F. "Bert" (Linda) Wilkerson IV of Duncan; step-children, Frank (Fairy) Mock of Chapin, Katherine (Chris) Pritchard and Anne Marie (Chip) Hebbard, all of Barnwell, and James (Becky) Mock of Edisto Island; a sister, Dorothy Hull of Spartanburg; and nine grandchildren.
