Al Belk

Allan Ray Belk, 69, of Holly Hill, SC, entered into eternal rest on March 15, 2016. Mr. Belk was born on March 3, 1947, in Angleton, TX, to Lloyd Ray Belk and Priscilla (Shell) Belk Goehring. He attended a community college in Hawaii and served sixteen years in the US Coast Guard. After retiring from the US Coast Guard, he was employed with the Town of Holly Hill from 1997 until he retired in 2012. He is survived by his wife, Gayle Dickson Austin; his children Alana Rae Belk and her son Aidan of MA, James Allan Belk of SC, Matthew Aaron Belk of NY, and Katie Zanne Belk of MA; his step-children Derrill Austin (Debra), James G. Austin (Terri), and Allison Austin all from SC; his grandchildren Phillip, Hannah, Emily, Parker, McKinley, Austin, Taylor, and Gabriel; his siblings Sandra (Belk) Nelson (L.D.) of Oxford, AR, Linda (Belk) Finley (Berton) of Sage, AR, Larry Belk (Jeanette) of Danbury, TX, Marcella (Belk) Davis of Melbourne, AR, Cinda (Goehring) Rich (David) of Danbury, TX, and Robert Paul Goehring (Kassey) of Angleton, TX. He is preceded in death by his father, and his two brothers Gary and Phillip Belk. Per his request, Mr. Belk was honored at his residence.
