Sue Hall Still

Sue Hall Still, age 80 of Andrews, NC passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2014 at the Holly Hill Cemetery with Rev. Earl Behr officiating. Sue was a native of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of the late William and Pauline Carpenter Hall. She was a graduate of Western Carolina University and obtained her Masters of Education degree from the University of South Carolina. Sue taught high school and college classes for 27 years. Following her teaching career, Sue started her Real Estate business before moving back to Andrews in 1998. In Andrews, she continued her career as a real estate broker and appraiser. Although Sue left teaching many years ago she continued to teach life lessons to those she loved and knew. Sue was an avid reader and patron of Andrews Library. In addition to her parent she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Still, Jr.; former husband, Joe M. Reid and one grandson, Charles Jonathan Reid. Surviving are her son, Chuck Reid and wife Naomi of Andrews; brother, Bill Hall, Jr of Andrews; grandsons, Michael Reid and wife Sandy, Daniel Reid and wife Elizabeth and David Reid and fiance Brittany; great grandson, Caden Reid and special cousin, Otelia Baldwin of Nantahala. A memorial service is to be planned in South Carolina at a later date. She requested that in lieu of flowers all donations be made to the Andrews Library, 871 Main Street, Andrews, NC 28901.
