Meta Rae R. Gooden HOLLY HILL - Meta Rae R. Gooden, 90, widow of Stephen A. Gooden, died Monday, March 5, 2012 at her home. A graveside funeral will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave., N. Charleston, with Dr. David Brien officiating. Mrs. Gooden was born in Florence County a daughter of the late Moses Rotan and Belle Nelson Rotan. She was known as "Meta the Greeter" at Walmart in Summerville, and was preceded in death by a son, Ray A. Gooden. Surviving are a son, Stephen (Barbara) Gooden of Holly Hill; a granddaughter, Melisa Walters of Summerville; and great-grandchildren, Madaline and Stephen Walters.
