Hazel M. Hart

June 5, 1919 — July 13, 2012

MT. PLEASANT - Mrs. Hazel Morrow Hart, 93, formerly of Vance, SC, widow of Julian Hart, died Friday, July 13, 2012 in a Mt. Pleasant nursing home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Corinth Baptist Church, 1910 Camden Road, Holly Hill, with Rev. Buddy Locke and Rev. Frank Cone officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Hart was born in Birmingham, Ala., a daughter of the late James Herbert Morrow and Maude Letcher Morrow. She was a graduate of Alabama College, Montevallo, Ala., and a former teacher at Clarendon Hall in Summerton. She was a charter member of the Holly Hill Music Club and the Jasmine Book Club. Mrs. Hart was a member of Sullivans Island Baptist Church and former member of the Corinth Baptist Church. While a member of Corinth, she was active in the WMU in both the Screven Association and the State level. She also was in the first choir formed, a leader of the GA's and a Sunday school teacher. She was a volunteer missionary from the Home Mission Board in Houston, Tex., serving in Iaeger, WV, Rock Cave, WV, and Rio de Janerio, Brazil. She loved her church, her God, her friends and family. Surviving are daughters, Beth (Tom) Murph of Isle of Palms, Ginny Lou (Benny) Britt of Memphis, Tn, and Edith E. (David) Yarbrough of Sanford, NC; grandchildren, Todd Murph (Megan), Julianne Britt Schmidt (Jonathan), Matthew Britt (Cecily), Kevin Britt, Anna Britt, Katy Yarbrough Toliver (Mark), and Phil Yarborough (Bethany); and seven great-grandchildren.
