Gerald L. Chubb

HOLLY HILL - Gerald Lee Chubb, 62, of Holly Hill, died Friday, August 1, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Holly Hill, with Pastor Todd Hodge and Pastor Dwight Brazzell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Travis Chubb, Kris Risher, Donald Robinson, Eric Robinson, Brian Robinson, and Kelly Kinsey. A native of Holly Hill, Gerald was a son of the late Leon Chubb and Mamie Clark Chubb. He enjoyed fishing and collecting coins. A graduate of Holly Hill High School, Gerald was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was the widower of Janice Bunch Chubb. Surviving are a daughter, Casey Hill (Brandon) of Ridgeville; a son, Clay Chubb of Holly Hill; sisters, Joey Konefat of Holly Hill, and Pansy Risher (Derrick) of Harleyville; a brother, Billy Chubb (Sally) of Holly Hill; grandchildren, Skyler Infinger, Eason Hill, and Makaylee Chubb; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends Linda and Thomas Breland. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. this Sunday at Avinger Funeral Home, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to The H.
