Frank Anthony Cirincione
April 10, 1943 — September 4, 2021
FRANK ANTHONY CIRINCIONE was born in Brooklyn on April 10, 1943 and passed away peacefully on September 4, 2021. He was the second of four children of Jack and Josephine Cirincione. Oldest brother Dominick left this earth only 7 months ago. Frank is survived by a sister, Fran Reese of Cherry Hill, NJ, and a younger brother, Jack Cirincione (Pietrina) of Butler, NJ. and nieces Deanna and Emily. He is also survived by his beloved wife of 18 years and love of his life, Judy Skolnick. Together they made a wonderful life in Santee, SC. Their blended family included Frank’s son, Robert Cirincione (Tanya) and Judy’s daughters, Michele Skolnick and Barrie-Ann Francescutto (Peter). Their blended eight grandchildren include Chelsea LeFleur (Brody), Ethan, Raymond, Vincent, Nicole, Danielle, Matthew, Cristina, and even one great-grandchild, Noah.
When Frank was 8 years old, the family moved from Brooklyn to the wilds of New Jersey. This is where he honed his lifetime love of the outdoors. His Sicilian genes took root. He had the ultimate “green thumb.” After graduating from Westwood High School and then Lincoln Technical Institute, he started his own landscaping company featuring all facets of the business including heavy duty drainage, hardscaping and beautiful landscape aesthetics. He also contributed to the industry by being the first Vice President of the Bergen County Landscape Contractors Association. He was never afraid to jump in when he thought he could help. He was an active member of the Westwood Elks well known for their community service.
The move to South Carolina in their retirement 13 years ago brought Frank and Judy great joy. They assimilated into their new community quickly and brought their previous life experiences with them. Anyone who has visited Judy and Frank’s home in Santee can attest that their yard looks like the botanical gardens. Frank was even known to give a gardening seminar to fellow residents.
Besides gardening, he was a real outdoorsman. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, and was so knowledgeable about conservation and the proper way to do almost anything. He loved fishing whether it was locally on his boat or at some remote part of the world. Frank and Judy had amazing adventures. Their trips did not include staying at a Hilton. They were in tents, sleeping bags or just under the stars. They visited Africa, India and the Amazon to name just a few exotic places. Frank and Judy would do their homework to make their trips as safe and prepared as possible.
A memorial service to remember and honor Frank's life will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Saint Ann Catholic Church, 2205 State Park Road, Santee, South Carolina 29142.
