Doris Way Weeks

HOLLY HILL - Mrs. Doris Way Weeks, 74, widow of Vernon M. "Popsie" Weeks, died Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, Holly Hill, with Dr. David Brien and Rev. Earl Behr officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Weeks was born in Holly Hill, a daughter of the late Zach Way and Connie Parler Way. She was a graduate of Holly Hill High School and was a member of First Baptist Church, Holly Hill. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Montey Weeks and an infant great-grandson. Surviving are a daughter, Doris "Dee Dee" (Zacharias) Nunez of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; sons, Vernon (Theresa) Weeks, III of Holly Hill, Frank (Toni) Weeks of Cross, and Todd Weeks of Versailles, Ky.; sisters, Frankie Bennett of Holly Hill and Judy Bilton of Eutawville; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Saturday at Avinger Funeral Home.
