Danny Ray Davenport EUTAWVILLE, SC - Danny Ray Davenport, 53, of Eutawville, SC, husband of Sheryl Page Davenport, died Thursday, March 15, 2011 at his home. A visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill. Funeral and burial will be in Gulfport, Miss. Danny was born in Chicago, Ill., a son of Norman Ray Davenport and Georgia Warren Davenport. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University, and was a retired electrical engineer from the Southern Division Naval Facility Engineering Command. Danny was co-owner of S D Gun Shop in Eutawville and owner of D.R. Davenport, P.E. Engineering and Consulting. He was a life member of SAS (Single Action Shooting Society) and a former employee of Lieber Correctional Institution. Danny was a member of the Calvary Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are his wife, Sheryl of Eutawville; his parents of Gulfport, Miss.; daughters, Amanda Davenport of Eutawville, and Tabitha Davenport of Clemson University; and a brother, Jerry Davenport of Gulfport, Miss.
