Connie Mae Martin Boykin

VANCE - Mrs. Connie Mae Martin Boykin, 81, of Vance, widow of Roy M. Boykin, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill with Rev. Dr. Martin Wiles and Rev. Ed Stiltz officiating. Burial will follow in Gerizim United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1432, Vance Rd., Vance, SC. Pallbearers will be Ryan Boykin, Randall Heatley, Ray Mabry, Jeffrey Wiles, Grant Melton, and Charlee Rose. Connie was a daughter of the late Daniel Jefferson Martin and Maggie Clark Martin. A life-long member of Gerizim UMC, she was a lover of art and painting. Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Outlaw (John) of Sumter; sons, Timothy P. Boykin ( Kathy) of Orangeburg, and Shawn M. Boykin (Dianne) of Summerville; a sister, Elsie "Dixie" Martin Wiles Stukes (Robert) of Greenwood; grandchildren, Ryan Boykin (Tarah) of Florence, Clark Boykin and Olivia Boykin, both of Summerville; great-grandchildren, Mia, Reese, and Conner Boykin, all of Florence; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the services on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. The family would like to thank the sitters and Hospice care nurses who took care of Mrs. Boykin.
