Benjamin Michael Hutto

Benjamin Michael Hutto, 68, of Holly Hill, husband of Christine Baker Hutto, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, in a North Charleston hospital. A graveside funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 31, in the Holly Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Buddy Locke officiating. Mike was born in Denmark, a son of the late Cecil Burns Hutto and Hattie Tant Hutto. He attended Holly Hill High School and was a retired sawyer from Beal Lumber Company in Newberry. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Harleyville. He was preceded in death by a son, Greg Hutto; a sister, Cora Lee Hutto Boyer; and brothers Lamar, Tony and Thomas Hutto. Surviving are his wife of the home; a son, Robert Hutto of St. Augustine, Fla.; a brother, Bill Hutto of Moncks Corner; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
